5 Days!

I can't believe how much my life is about to change. It has sunk in that I no longer have to attend school, but it's incredible to think that in less than a week, I will be in another part of the world for three months. Three months. That's a long time. It will go by faster than I think, though!
I thank God every single day for the wonderful opportunities He gives me and I pray that He do some great things through me. A few things I have been praying for that would be wonderful if you could pray too:

• Humility. I want to to able to put everyone else's needs above my own. I know that there will be times when I want to be selfish and do my own thing, but I need to embrace the fact that I will not be my own for a while; if someone wants me to do something that I maybe don't feel like doing, I need to do it and trust that it is the right thing.
• Trust. I am somewhat nervous about teaching English classes by myself (alright, very nervous!) and I want to be able to trust Jesus that He will help me get through and get the hang of what I am doing. 
• Patience. There will be times when I will be frustrated with the kids I am teaching, but I need to remember that they do not need me getting angry at them, but they need my patience and my love.
• An open mind. This is an awesome experience that God has given me and I need to remember to make the most of it! I need to remember to speak as much Spanish as I can, get to know as many people as I can, and help out as much as I can. I need to be equipped with the love, kindness, courage, and perseverance of Christ. 

I thank those of you who have embarked on this journey with me! I appreciate your prayers so much! I hope and pray that God will use me in mighty ways during my time in Guatemala.
